Job Opening: Single Role Paramedic/EMT
Umatilla County Fire District #1 is currently accepting applications for one Single-Role Paramedic or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) position.
UCFD#1 provides fire, rescue, and emergency medical services to the communities of Hermiston and Stanfield, along with ambulance services to Echo and Umatilla. Our close-knit team of career and volunteer personnel responds to more than 6,000 calls each year from five stations, serving more than 48,000 residents.

UCFD#1 operates on a four-shift schedule with a 42-hour work week. Shift personnel work a 24-hours-on, 72-hours-off schedule.
Compensation
Paramedic: $70,966–$98,562 annually
EMT: $48,904–$56,111 annually
Additional compensation may include:
- Up to 12% incentive for CCP/Flight, BA, AMLS, PHTLS, and ASLS certifications
- $250 monthly Spanish bilingual incentive
- Longevity bonus
- Pay negotiable with Fire Chief for lateral applicants (3+ years of experience as Paramedic or EMT)

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Possess an Oregon State Paramedic License or EMT Basic certification by the time of hire
- Possess a valid driver's license
- Meet the District's physical qualifications
- Be able to read, write, and speak English
- Successfully complete a background assessment, medical examination, psychological examination, and drug screening prior to employment
