Academy Week 7 Recap

Week 7 of the academy is officially behind us as the recruits practiced search and rescue from a 1st and 2nd story building in our training tower.

The week wrapped up with extrication using hydraulic rescue tools, often known as "the jaws of life". Lieutenant Jesse Brown spent two days with the academy class, teaching in both a classroom and practical setting.

Thank you to R.S. Davis Recycling - Hermiston Yard for allowing the academy to practice on their cars for the practical hands-on portion of the unit!
